EMDR THERAPY
What is EMDR?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a gentle, evidence-based therapy that helps people heal from the emotional wounds left by overwhelming experiences. It is one of the most researched and trusted treatments for PTSD, recommended by the American Psychological Association (APA), the Department of Defense (DOD), and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). By using eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation, EMDR allows the brain to reprocess painful memories so that they no longer feel overwhelming. For more details, watch the video below:
Duration of EMDR Therapy:
Everyone’s healing journey with EMDR looks a little different. Some people find relief after just a few sessions, especially when working through a single event, while others—particularly those with complex trauma beginning in childhood—may benefit from a longer, more layered process. No matter where you’re starting from, EMDR can offer relief much sooner than carrying the weight of emotional pain for years—or even a lifetime.

Intensive EMDR Sessions:
Intensive EMDR sessions offer a way to fit meaningful healing into your life without feeling like therapy has to stretch on forever. After an initial intake to assess readiness, extended sessions allow us to go deeper into the work, helping you move through trauma more quickly and compassionately. Intensives can be a good fit for busy professionals, parents, or anyone ready to prioritize healing in a more focused, accelerated way.
