About Me
I help teens, adults, couples, and parents navigate ADHD, trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship stress, addictions and life transitions. My style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that therapy works best when you feel seen, respected, validated and safe enough to share your thoughts and feelings.
I received my B.A. in Political Science and English Literature from the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to becoming a counselor, I worked in the IT industry and soon realized the corporate environment was not for me, discovering my passion for helping others through therapy. I earned my M.A. in Professional Counseling from Texas State University and served as a practicum counselor supporting students at Southwestern University. I currently offer in-person sessions in Austin and virtual therapy throughout Texas and Colorado.
My approach to therapy is primarily person-centered. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to guide and support you in your journey of understanding and growth. I use a range of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems, polyvagal-informed therapy, mindfulness-based interventions, and EMDR.
I work with adolescents and adults of all ages, including parents and couples. My specialties include supporting individuals dealing with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, life transitions, career counseling and addictions. I strive to understand and address the unique experiences and challenges faced by all my clients. I am also fluent in American Sign Language, enabling me to offer accessible culturally-sensitive therapy to the Deaf community.
